•500g firm tofu, sliced into approx. 16 slices
•50g fresh ginger, cut into small strips
•½ onion sliced
•1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
•½ pint of water
•Light Soy sauce
1.Lightly coat the tofu in cornflour.
2.Pour 4 tbsp of cooking oil into the wok.
3.Place the tofu slices carefully into the wok and pan fry each side for 3 mins.
4.Transfer the tofu slices onto some kitchen towel.
To make the sauce:
1.Pour 1tbsp of cooking oil into the wok.
2.Add the garlic, ginger & spring onion.
3.Add ½ pint of water.
4.Add ½ tsp of salt and ½ tsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tsp of light soy sauce, 1 tsp of sesame oil and sprinkle with white pepper.
5.Add 1 tsp of cornflour (mix with a small amount of water to thicken the sauce)
6.Mix the tofu in the sauce and cook for 2 mins.
READY TO SERVE.
