•200g Frying steak (cut into very fine strips)
•½ Onion (sliced)
•½ Carrot (strips)
•½ Green Pepper (strips)
•1 Red Chilli (strips)
•1 tsp White sesame seeds
Preparation for sauce:
Boil 200ml of water
50g of sugar
3 tbsp of Plum Sauce
2 tbsp of Red Vinegar
1 tsp of Chilli bean paste
Simmer down to 200ml
1. Marinate beef strips with 1 tsp of salt and 1tsp of sesame oil for 15 minutes.
2.Add 1 tbsp of Self-raising flour and 20ml of water into beef and mix well.
3.Coat beef with 50g of potato flour. Sieve excessive flour.
4.Heat ½ litre of cooking oil in wok (medium-high).
5.Deep-fry beef strips for approx 3 ½ minutes until crispy. Drain oil.
6.Add 1 tbsp of cooking oil in wok.
7.Add onion, carrot, pepper and chilli. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
8.Add sauce and sesame seeds. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
9.Add beef strips and mix well.
Ready to serve
